My Impressions of Doug Jones’ Win In Alabama

 

Doug Jones got the seat;

Roy was the one he beat.

Voters wanted none of Moore;

He didn’t make the coveted score.

The GOP has a machine;

They don’t cry and scream,

They accept voters’ decision;

Won with great precision.

But Moore, the cry baby,

No concede, not a maybe.

Accept your defeat, poor Roy;

You should be a good boy.

A win for our democracy,

Keep strong, guys; we’ll see.

We will look to the sky

And reach goals so high.

We’ll shout and scream with victory,

Due to the strength of you and me.

The Authoritarian Playbook

Great video.  A must view.

Points out precisely the danger we are in. Don’t remain in blissful ignorance, people. He has the ignorant in his pocket.  They are a minority in our country.  They believe his every word, and they watch FOX NEWS AND FRIENDS. This channel is a spokesperson and “state-sponsored” news media that spews distortion of the truth or makes up its own “truth.”  They shout out their message to make sure they are heard.  They do not speak quietly.  Their purpose is to preach the views of the person occupying the White House.

If truth is spoken, quiet voices are all that is needed for emphasis.  All the authoritarians and dictators in the world have used shouting to get their message across.  They shout with anger and bully their listeners to come over and embrace their views and dictates.

Military force is usually used.  Did you know that the person living in the White House, has instructed that surplus military weaponry be distributed to the state and local police departments?  This includes vehicles and other equipment.

Don’t be mistaken, folks, tRump is slowly, but surely decimating our democracy and using divisive methods, creating a vacuum which will allow him and his cohorts to swoop in and take over our country.  Rule of law and rights guaranteed by our Constitution have  been distorted and/or dismissed, to please the ultra-right and a certain religious minority.

Don’t let him win. Keep up the #resistance. Keep calling the elected officials who are not representing us; they are representing their own interests and making backroom deals for their monetary benefit – not ours.

I Am Getting To Feel Weary and Vulnerable, But I Know I Have To Keep Strong

I am weary and stressed and I falter in my strength to fight back. They are throwing so much at us and so quickly, that it is difficult to maintain the level of resistance as I had in the beginning of this devastation.

They are jack-hammering at the foundation of our very existence. We are feeling the vulnerability and helplessness that they, in their evil wisdom, knew would come.

Can we last – can our democracy last – until the midterms next year? Or will the damage be so great that it will be too difficult to repair?

Do we see a civil war in our future? tRump is allowing all police departments to buy surplus military weapons so that he can control any uprising. He will not hesitate to have them shoot down all unrest.

I fear we are in the throes of a dictatorship in our near future. How can we wake up those, who are in their blissful ignorance?

I have been following all the political garbage – Republican garbage – since before the election; hence, no time or strength to post on my blog since many, many months ago.

I’ve missed many of my followers’ postings; although I look in at your blog postings occasionally, listed on my email inbox.

I’m in the sunset of my life, and to think that our beautiful democracy is fading and falling into a dictatorship/oligarchy, is devastating.  I know there are many out there in the blogosphere, who disagree with me, but I also know there are many who do.
